Bare Foot Bowling

Dot's Dad Ken turns 60 today and we are following the Wedding Celebrations with a Surprise Party that will involve Bare Foot Bowling... a little card for him which started with PaperTrey Dark Chocolate ink and Basic Backgrounds--Retro on Kraft... I added some stripes to a strip of Wild Wasabi and finished with some Close to Cocoa edged with a Fiskars punch... The letter is Tim Holtz Grungeboard and the numbers are from Bazzill.

All My Friends are Getting Married...

The bells will ring for my paper buddy Dot today as she ties the knot with her long time love. The Wedding is on the lake at Noosa and should be a lovely affair. This card was built from one strip of Damask Designs (Papertrey), stamped in Vintage Cream on Kraft. I knew I wanted to use these colours, the rest is really just playing around with what I had... Stampin' Up's Together Forever Frame with a Bella Chipboard Letter; Heidi Grace Heart Brads; Rusty Pickles' Princess Bride Paper altered with some more stamping from Damask Designs; Fiskars Punch and some Kraft Tafetta Ribbon.

Only for My Mother...

Not exactly my best acetate card, but the only thing my mother looks at online are emailed pictures of babies and my blog, so had to post her Birthday Card. I paired Stem Silhouettes with DRD Butterflies. HB Mother, thankfully this is a tad better in the flesh, when the centre springs out and the butterflies look like they are floating around it!!

A Button Madam?

A Family Friend, Cheryl, found a big jar of buttons and sent them to me via my Mother. I was VERY excited to receive some new jewels to play with.... There were some great finds!! Here is a little card that I made to send to her with thanks... went to PaperTrey's Forum Gallery (Betsy Veldman) for inspiration and used Friends 'til the End and some Groovy Guava... and of course one of the buttons from the jar jazzed up with some Kaiser Bling.

PaperTrey for Pink Tulle Party

It didn't take me long to get into the PaperTrey... I stamped off this background last night with the intention of throwing this card together today, teaming Cameo Coral with So Saffron for a different colour combination... Friends 'til the End is very easy to use. I put it together with my new PT inks, a Fiskars border punch, Basic Grey Ribbon, Bazzill Bling and SU's Big on Spring. Should go nicely with the pink charms that will be added to a muli-pink tulle veil that we are putting together at a Hen's Night tonight for my paper buddy Dot.

Mojo Monday Week 80

A Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge submission, motivated by my want to use my new stamp set gifted by one of my paper buddies Dot.... this is Dolls by Hero Arts and it will become a lifelong friend I feel!!! I wanted to make myself use matching papers and thought it would be appropriate to say goodbye to Wild Wasabi and Spring Silhouettes. I stamped the main doll image on the DSP and cut it out, along with what is a lined section in the middle, the mounted on foam tape. I used the sketch to guide the paper placement, and dressed up the scallop sentiment with bling. The button is from Foof-a-la and the punch from Fiskars.
