Splitcoast FS121...

A little offering for this week's Featured Stamper Challenge with Rox71. I chose her Butterfly and Script card:

  • Kept panelling but changed papers, using a script background paper instead of stamp; also changing up the colours.
  • I kept with the butterfly but changed the stamp. Stamping a Hero Arts script on the top wings of the butterfly.
  • I used buttons instead of pearls.

Of course it is so much easier to play when you know where all of your papers and stamps are... here's to an organised creative space... only 4 cm of paper yet to sort, and most of that will be going in the FREE part of the Garage Sale.

Past Life....

I made these a long time ago, and it is time they showed their faces, this goes way back to when I first fell for Basic Gray, and my much loved Butterfly Beauty stamp set by Unity Stamp Co.... sigh!! Teamed SU's So Much (just love the circle images in this set) with Sweet Serendipity and my favourite Unity butterfly, mixed in with some hodgepodge and some wire from my Dad's tool box... if only he knew!!
This stamp is by Heather Stamps and is called Love Bug, so very cute!!
...and then the Dragonfly from the same Unity Butterfly Beauty set, amongst some reeds from Judith Stamps and then SU's Circle of Friendship for the sentiment.

Farewell Making Memories

I bought some Making Memories Funky Vintage Clears from a bargain bin and used some of the letters and a frame from the tags and shapes kit as a starting point for this farewell card. The stamp is Heart Winged Butterfly from Hero Arts which is lovely to use and I stamped it in two chalk inks and layered the wings. The flowers are jazzed up with some new brads by Bazzill called Flat Broke Bling Brads. The background paper is a blast from the past from K&Company, and I also used my new SU Eyelet Punch.

MOJO Monday Week 85

A slight addiction to Brothers & Sisters has kept me away from my Creative Space this weekend and I have only just thrown together this offering for Mojo85. Thanks to a little expedition to Scrapbooksetc and their 40% off sale... I used Graphite Glimmering Mist to dress up some Basic Grey Card and a Chipboard Butterfly from Maya Road. The papers are new to my stash and are from BoBunny's Unforgettable range; finishing with some cute little letters from Spare Parts. This is my first venture into Glimmer Mist, I had a great time, it is nice and messy and very sparkly... I love it when my hands are all stained and look like they have been put to good use. The end result was nice and muted but with a dash of bling... off to make some yo-yo flowers now, may keep up with the shimmer there too.

SFYTT

Sketch challenged I am!! Managed to get this from the SFYTT Challenge this week. I am in the process of also challenging myself to use up old supplies to see if they can be applied to current situations.... these greens and purples are nothing I would normally buy, but I got them as part of a challenge from a retreat I went on a few years back and I kept them because I kinda liked the elements. The stamp is from Hero Arts--Card Art Happy Wishes.
... and then some more using the same group of products:

Spring Fling Challenge

I chose Heather Nichols' inspiration picture for my entry in Papertrey's Spring Fling Challenge, drawing from the lines of the quilt. Spring is well behind us in Australia, but some fresh colours are never too far away... a little snip of Crate Paper and a couple of Making Memories flowers, teamed with stamps from Damask and Background Basics Retro... finished off with some Berry Sorbet Ribbon... enjoy!!

Pixie Pink Silho Girls

A little offering for this week's featured stamper over at SCS -- SparkPlug17's Bella Scraplings. I love silhouette stamps and had a craving to use these today so was quite happy to have the inspiration to do so. Threw together with some pixie pink and big flowers, nice and bright and plenty of bling.

Finally...

I have had these three page elements for years, like over 5 years, I can remember specifically the day that I bought them, where from, which aisle, the whole deal.... at the time it was with a specific purpose in mind... I am sure you have similar stories... they have been looking me straight in the eye every time I turn around FOR YEARS.... I put them on my craft mat about 2 months ago and told myself they couldn't go anywhere until I had done something with them, so FINALLY they are done and dusted, never to be touched again!!! So if you have some frame sets from "THIS & THAT a division of My Mind's Eye", do the same, it is such a great feeling to put them to use... I threw in some transparencies and got to use some of my newly gifted StazOn inks, it was fun and nice to end up with three different looks from similar starting points. The first attempt used Fresh Fabrics--Red Stitched. I paired this with the stitched scroll from SU's Stitched Exotics and the sentiment is from a set that will soon be disposed of in my Garage Sale, SU's All About U. The second bought out Shabby Edna (yay!!) and used Fresh Fabrics--Gold Toile. I put this together with some buttons from a huge jar that was recently gifted to me and used SU's Floral Background with Timber Brown StazOn to build the accents. The sentiment is from SU's Polka Dots & Paisley. The third was put together with a young girl in mind, my Blazing Red StazOn always comes out looking hot pink when I use it on a transparency, so paired this with Woods--Yellow Plaid elements and threw in some Stampendous Pop Dot Flowers and Trio Montage Butterflies.

Kristina's 50th

Little cards inspired by Kristina's 50th Colour Challenge.
Chocolate Bazzill Bling and a return to Kaiser's Flora and Fauna Stamps for these litte offerings. I keep returning to the Basic Grey Ribbon too, but not for much longer as the length is getting rather short. I have had a big crush on yellow lately and it was nice to try the match up with turquoise and richness of brown and red. The butterflies are great for emobossing if you have this set!! I reached way back into some Stampin' Up! paper sets for the BG paper... this is always a good thing to do, I found some other things I have been looking for there!!!
