Hi Pam124
I finally got around to completing the Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS from a few weeks back... this time honouring the very lovely Pam124... I chose to CASE her Elegant Birthday card... our styles are rather different, but I decided to keep the focus on having a label with a sentiment and had a hankering to use one of the Anna Griffin Designer Journal Tags (Flora Collection)... I know that those who know me will be shocked with the amount of BLUE on this card, but I see that Pam uses blue often so thought it would be nice for her! I repeat stamped one of the flower images from Amy Butler Lotus Floral Stamps on a piece of Ruby Red card stock (with Ruby Red ink) and hand cut to make the paper ribbon. This was teamed with a scrap of Daisy D's paper and some tiny rhinestones by "Anita's"
Open Window Tag Swap
I recently received a little package of tags from a tag swap co-ordinated by Julie's Open Window, we had to send 3 tags and then we got three in return (plus some that Julie made)... it was great to see work by others from across the world... Blue with white flowers by Caz and glittering flower from beedeebabee. The Moon tag has a back that is about playing in the warmth of the sun and came from a clever crafter in Illinois; the two Christmas tags from Julie herself. I love swaps and wish we could all organise more... perhaps something to add to the to-do list for 2010. My idea for this would be to have an embellishment swap, where you would hand make an embellishment and send it on to another participant, from there that participant would make a card with the embellishment and send it on the the next participant... food for thought!!

A Love for Amy Butler
I will share this last set of notebooks from this year's gift giving, plenty more of them, but gather you get the idea by now!!
I love Amy Butler and everything she does, last year I made some larger ring bound notebooks and this year I wanted to make matching ones for those who received similar designed books last year... these went down a treat!
Stamps are still from Take Note by Papertrey, but accessories are all about Amy Butler... the lovely butterflies and chipboard die cuts are all from her Lotus Flower range; as well as the paper. I thankfully have acquired the matching stamp set recently, so have some paper delight in the works from these as well.

Go the Girly Girls
More notebooks from this year's gift giving...
There are plenty of girly girls in my life... you couldn't get much pinker than the first notebook, which was for the biggest fan of pink I have ever met!! Toned it down a little with the white bling card, cut with the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis Punch. All the pink is thanks to Papertrey's Rapsberry Fizz Card, Buttons and Ribbon.
Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper was the basis for the second notebook, I wanted to highlight the butterflies, so used them in a long strip, threw in an EK Success Parisian Border to bring out the blue in the paper.
And then... for a more mature lass, a little offering with a dash of turquoise... paper is from the Wild Saffron range by K&Co.

A Dash of Asian and a Splash of Black and White...
More Notebooks from this year's gift giving.
For the girls in my life who are not necessarily fond of the overly pretty stuff... a little asian for the two red notebooks thanks to Kaiser's Sakura Park range of paper, these were really simple, just added a black and grey ribbon and buttons from my very large pile of black adornments.
The black and white comes about via KI Memories Black and White Tidal Wave paper. The flowers are flocked ribbon, with some black Kaiser pearls and the butterfly charm is from Francheville.
Stamps are of course Take Note from Papertrey...

Whirlybird Notebooks...
More Notebooks from this year's gift giving....
Again using the Take Note stamp set from PaperTrey... this time with heaps of bright pink and some of the beautiful papers from My Mind's Eye--Abbey Road Whirlybird series. There are some brads from the same range with a dash of velvet ric-rac on one and dotted grosgrain ribbon on the other...

Red Notebooks
Some more notebooks in a series of 35 that I made for Christmas gifts this year... this time starting with a red base, one with Cosmo Cricket paper and chipboard, the other with die cuts and a butterfly by Ruby Rocket. These were relatively quick to make and a great way to use up scraps and extra bits that you have hanging around your creative space.... of course Papertrey's Take Note stamp set makes them really easy to get going... there are a few images from Stampin' Up's Stitched Exotics too. I have plenty more of these, might show a few others in the coming days... ENJOY what is left of your festive season!!

Long Delayed Notebook Post...
Far Out Brussel Sprout... my Camera decided it wasn't going to talk to my computer... took me two days to sort out all the issues... what a Drama!! Not to worry, my untechnical, seriously lacking in PC savvy self did eventually work it all out!! I was very relieved to hear one solitary "bonk" in place of the three "bonks" that Harvey (My Computer) has been yelling at me every time I connected Akiko (My Camera).

Happy Birthday Dot!!
My papercrafting buddy Dot is celebrating her birthday today... so her card needed to have dots on it!!!The deets for this card can be found on this post in the Splitcoast Forum, I was inspired to use flocking by one of the November Fan Club Challenges.
For those of you that have access to Bella Flowers, I can recommend these with the pointed petals, they look great and hold their form really well, I like the ridges down the seam of each petal.... but be warned that when you place a large button in the centre it tends to make the petals want to stand up... and not even Pritt would secure them to the card, so I had to use a glue dot on each petal (and a lot of force) to get the little darlings to stay put. Was worth the effort though, and in circumstances where you don't need to get the card into an envelope, the "at attention" petals are a pretty funky look!!

Do you have a List Obsession?
I do!! As do most people who work in busy offices, and about half of the rest of the population!! It was time for me to start working on some little notebooks that I give as gifts to people I work with... this year they were made really easy thanks to PTI's long notebooks and their Take Note stamp set.Not sure if this photographing on a white background is doing anything for my already average photography skills, but you get the idea...

One or Three Wishes
These little creations come by way of the Splitcoast Fan Club November Challenge to show a basic and stepped up version of a card design. I chose to use the Dandelion stamp by Hero Arts with the thought of having one wish on the first card and 3 wishes on the stepped up card.I based the cards on stamping in Vintage Cream Ink by PaperTrey onto Kraft card stock as this is a favourtie of mine..... In the simple version the top panel is simply edged with Parisian by EK Success and mounted on layers of paper and card, with a simple crumpled paper ribbon.
