Granted this now looks not so square thanks to the elongation as a result of the addition of the Martha Stewart Lg Border Punch, but I think it still fits OK with the sketch….
A concentrated application of Lotus Flower Embellishment by Amy Butler. I edged all of the papers, including the embossed butterflies in Basic Gray Ink, adding the Basic Gray Ribbon, Green Twine and Making Memories Button to the LHS… some big Kaiser Bling to finish off each of the panels. And of course just a dash of KRAFT in this one as well…. Breaking out of the must use Kraft mode soon!!!
This one is going out to a girlie at work who is celebrating her Birthday on Monday… fresh and fun with a dash of girlishness especially for Mrs T L-L… hope you like, and thanks for stopping by!!!

SFYTT Three Circles
I took a liking to the three circles sketch from SFYTT, this seemed a bit up my alley!!!
This time I chose to replicate the circles with the ornate circle from Verve's Accent Notes. I positioned the stamp directly over some medallions on the Imagine Paper from KaiserCraft, for the green outer circles… with the centre circle and sentiment stamped on the back of one of the papers from this set. Kept the lines pretty simple, just adding some more matching paper to the bottom, after stamping the background in additional stamps from Accent Notes (tone on tone).
Added some gloss to the edges of the centre circle and threw some Kaiser Pearls across each of the layers.

Going Neutral for Verve
The 4th Week of Verve's February Challenge provided a great sketch and fantastic napkins for inspiration.... I couldn't go past the neutrals in the picture I chose for inspiration.... right up my alley!! I did want to add a pop of colour though so went with the purple plate and added in a touch of purple bazzill. I love the little butterflies in Verve's Enjoy and opted to stamp them in Vintage Cream Ink on KRAFT and cut them out, making a border for the circle feature. The tall strip is from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds. I wanted to keep the bottom panel clean so went with a simple Martha Stewart Border punch on the flat KRAFT card... card bejewelled by Prima.

Waltzing Mouse SPRING Blog Hop
If you are joining in the Waltzing Mouse Blog Hop you have come to the right place... WELCOME!! If you are a regular visitor and would like to start at the beginning of the hop then head over to the Waltzing Mouse Blog (or if you loose the thread along the way). I must admit that I signed up to do the hop before I took much note that the theme was spring.... I don't have any of the new release stamps, but managed something spring-ish with Labels 5 and Faux Fun. Papertrey card is very bright and full of spring spunk so I turned to them for a co-ordinated look. Berry Sorbet is the base and colour of stamping on the flowers... all other stamping is done in Chocolate Chip. I used the lace border from Faux Fun, stamping it on three shades of card stock and trimming it down to make the 5 background strips. From there it was all about the Label 5 and filling the space with some hand made flowers and a little sentiment (by Verve).
I started each of the flowers by stamping the knit background from Faux Fun on both sides of the card stock... I wanted the flowers to be reasonably whimsical so wasn't overly particular to get the edges even, just spliced up circles of the stamped card stock and rolled them up with some PVA glue. A few different sizes and some of the left overs cut up for the centres of some of the flowers finished this bunch of blossoms off...
A few pearls finished of the label which was then dressed with some matching Berry Sorbet ribbon, looped and finished with a couple of Making Memories buttons and some twine. I think I got a burst of spring into this card, what do you think?
Thanks for joining in the hop and see you next time... the next stop on the hop is Michele Hetland, enjoy what she has on offer!!

Green and PINK for Verve
This is the February Week 3 Challenge for Verve over at Splitcoaststampers... I really love the pink and green and the big blossom in this inspiration piece.... I wanted to include the circle feature from the sketch but without a solid circle so stamped off and hand cut the individual scrolls from Verve's Accent Notes to build a ring border for the Waltzing Mouse Label 5 combination. The paper was from deep in the stash--All My Memries Couture, I liked the idea of combining the green and pink stripes with the tone on tone background stamping on the remainder of the card. A fat paisley bow to finish the elements of the sketch...Saturday, February 20, 2010
Going Blue for Verve
This is the February Week 2 Challenge for Verve over at Splitcoaststampers... I took a little liberty with the inspiration pieces and chose to take the patterns from the China but dampen down the colour a tad.... so light blue instead of the rich royal blue.... but hey it's blue so be impressed that I chose this at all!! I liked this sketch it allowed use of the different patterned papers in the Kaiser Duchess Collection, I applied the dots, dashes and solid line borders to each of the base panels with a chocolate chip marker. Loves Flower and Accent Notes by Verve are to thank for the stamping.... along with the Label 5 stamp from Waltzing Mouse. A little layeringup of the flower and a splash of Kaiser Pearls finish off this card.... but I have to mention that I loved using these papers with my age old favourite card stock................. KRAFT!!!Wednesday, February 17, 2010
Lovely Stamps, Shocking Photo
Oh it pains me to post this photo after I have been making improvements with this side of blogging, will never be a strong point for me as my interest in photography is basically zero.... but thought I would post anyway.... This is a Verve Challenge for February, you can find the deets from the links in my SCS Gallery if you are interested in playing along. I like the photo corner elements on the sketch and opted to replace them with a spliced image from Verve's Accent Notes. The Black and Cream colour combo replicated the Black and Gold (which I don't dabble in) from the inspiration piece. I worked hard to get all the light elements to be perfectly colour matched, but alas the poor photography masacres that look... not to worry I worked with what I had (my brother's glass cabinet as a light box) and had fun with the card. More Verve Challenges in the coming days... perhaps once I have moved on to my next temporary home and found some daylight...LOL!!

20 Years--How Wonderful!
A little card for an online friend who is about to celebrate a special relationship milestone...
This was also for the Taylored Expressions Sketch #100 Celebrations. I am drawn to a few of the TE sets and will be investing in the near future--I hope!! This was a great sketch to work my new Kaiser Craft Penny Royale paper collection into. I cut one of the medallions from the back of the Wendy paper and a circle label from the back of the Caroline paper, using a strip of paper ribbon from the same paper as well. The medallion is popped up with some foam tap, the remaining elements are placed directly onto the card base...
The background is stamped with some of Unity Stamp Co's Big Shiny Flowers, with versamark ink. I added some Felt Thickers to the sentiment panel, adding some hand writing with a Chocolate Chip marker... some Kaiser Pearls finish off the card.
