Well we have a little three layer card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge... I opted to have shaped edges and build the layers from top to bottom, the bottom with the most detail, having a sunburst paper piecing effect. I used X-Press It Double Sided Adhesive Sheets for this, easy as!
I wanted to make sure we could see as much of the paper pieced sheet as possible, so opted for a vellum layer, stamping the stitches from Off-Beat Backgrounds to line up with the paper joins from the lower layer. A flat paper layer for the top piece which is decorated with the chipboard elephant, coloured with Copics, and some Spica Sparkle on her toes!! I made the flower for the ribbon embellishment from different sized WMS circles, notching randomly around the circumference of each before layering them up with foam tape and a button with the matching ribbon pulled through.
You could do many things with these layers, I hear background stamps calling peeps, enjoy!! Don't forget to link up to win!!
What's in it?

Paper: Crate Paper: Paper Heart; Vellum, Basic White
Ink: SU: Whisper White, Copic Markers, Spica
