In Review--First Publication

So what was tied in with my little LOVE Leanne Stampede in January 2012 was a decision to tackle the "Get Published" goal again, I figured a few years was long enough to wait, and stuck to my guns and used stamps that I loved, and colours and detailing that spoke to my natural style... I wasn't overly confident but I was happy with my submission... and I got an affirmative response pretty much straight away, so was very STOKED!!!

As is almost always the case with Australian magazine publishing the wait was long, but it finally got printed in August, Volume 18 No 7.

I love how Australian Cardmarking, Stamping and Papercraft stage their card features, and it was with much anticipation that I opened up the issue to see what they had arranged, and I was more than happy with the result....

The magazine titled these Cool & Quirky, and wrote them up as:

"Attention to detail and stunning colouring make these cards a joy to look at.  They use an interesting Copic colouring technique, similar to the modern art technique pointillism!"

So a big thanks to Emily and Jane from ACSP for their acceptance of these cards as my first publication piece, and for the others that followed throughout the year... more on those in the coming days and more cards with these stamps coming very soon too!
