The time is finally here for me to have another LOVE Leanne Stampede, where I enjoy 6 days of Leanne Ellis Stamps.... this time I am using a mixture of digital and rubber stamps.... I thought it would be fun to showcase different ways to use the intricate frames that accompany so many of the Leanne Ellis Stamps.... therefore each day will start with a different letter, this the first day being F is for Fanciful.... and all the days will spell FRAMED...I think the title of this image, Ask Me to Dance, is dreamy and rather FANCIFUL!! I don't think I have been asked to dance for a couple of decades, and certainly didn't look like this on the then occasion, so for me the finery and dialogue is imaginary and whimsical and worthy of some strong colours dampened by a shimmer of glitter....
I coloured the image in OTT strong Copic Markers, covered it with double sided adhesive and rubbed the glitter atop for this look, the colouring is easy as you can really exaggerate the light and shade and pretty much just use block colour.... and the frame for this one was achieved by printing the image 5mm larger than the original print for the main image... and onto matching patterned paper....this gives the frame with a nice little offset to the main image.
A paper doily, some banners, stitching and a sentiment... finished with Copic coloured plastic hearts, and this little lady was ready to dance for the post man.... and just to put a big F out the front of Fanciful, some words from one of my fave songs:
I finally asked you to dance on the last slow song, beneath that moon that was really a disco ball, I can still feel my head on your shoulder, and hoping that song would never be over...
Lady Antebellum, Dancin' Away with my Heart
Tomorrow's letter is R... and for those needing to be in the know here is a little Leanne Ellis enabling:
