Out with 2012 in Style -- HNY!!

I am very happy to be posting in 2013, and to say goodbye to 2012, for so many reasons, however it was still important to document 2012 for my mother in a little photo book which is something I do each year for Christmas.

This year this was made super easy thanks to the arrival of this fabby little chipboard album by FabScraps, I love the detailed front, and was able to position the heron from the patterned paper so that it looked through the die cut topper.

I coloured the topper with a Copic marker, this took some time, but was worth it to get the fabby matt finish that you get with markers directly applied to chipboard.  I added a bit of detail to this by stamping text over the top of the Copic colouring.

Some quick embellishments and the front of this album was done and ready.

I am looking forward to finding more time in my creative space in 2013, and hope your wishes for the new year are in your sight and come freely!!

What's in it?
Stamps: Unity Stamps: Christy Tomlinson--She Art Words
Paper:  FabScraps: Blue Heron
Ink: Copic Markers; SU: Midnight Muse
Extras:  FabScraps Chipboard: Floral Album, Precious Word; Prima: Blossom; Amercian Crafts: Thickers.

  1. Edna,
Your photo book looks wonderful. I'm struck by what a great gift this is - from the heart! I will meditate on this idea and see if it's possible for me to do as well. I am married to a man that I can't seem to give a gift he likes - but I know he treasures memories and this might be just the thing, to give him a book each year (not a big-honkin' scrapbook, but a simple book). Thank you for the idea - and I do love your art!
    Hugs!
