A Waltzingmouse Christmas Day: 2--Christmas Card for the Boy in your Life

Welcome to Day 2 of the Waltzingmouse Christmas parade, today the Design Team is showcasing Christmas Cards using old and new sets.  I wanted to make a card for a friend who gives her husband a special card each Christmas... this was a great challenge for me Christmas and Males in the same space.... scary!!

So I went to one of my all time favourite rodent sets in Nutcracker Sweet with the thought of using the Nutcracker as a Dude on the Card, and to pair it with a non-Christmas focused sentiment, in Husband from Compact Family.

I kept the layers as void of fuss as possible but still getting a good dash of regal in there with the fancy rectangle from Spellbinders, I left some of the cut-outs in, and then filled the open spaces with the vanilla base card.

This is pretty simple stamping really, but a good way to use a bunch of sentiments from the same set, and mix with more everyday sentiments!  What can you find in your stash to add to a Christmas card, yet remain in theme?

You will see a wide variety of cards on the parade today, here is a little path for you to follow, or you can head over the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog for all the details, enjoy!
